National Guard Civilian//Soldier Campaign

I was recently employed by the Army National Guard in Washington D.C. to make images for a new direct mail recruitment campaign. I flew to Ohio to meet Jeff and Dave, of Laughlin, Marinaccio & Owens, for an intense 3 days of production because the most current recruits were in Cleveland. What I saw was such a diverse set of motivated young people with high aspirations and a willingness to help us with our project. We recruited about 10 soldiers to showcase their civilian interests and their role as a National Guard soldier.

These youth all have their own passions aside from being a soldier and I witnessed first hand the diversity of interest in this group. It was a pleasure to see them in action in uniform and civilian attire. This trip reminded me that balancing individuality and empathy is such a crucial part of maintaining and protecting a successful life.
